New movies to watch in theaters and streaming this weekend: October 8, 2021

It’s a lo-, it’s a lo-, it’s a lonely weekend, but at least it’s here. Who doesn’t love some Kacey Musgraves? Well, the weekend is here and you have dropped in to see the list of the best new movies to watch in theaters and on streaming services that you don’t want to miss.

Last weekend was loaded with movies, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you are still trying to play catch up with those, but not to fear, the theaters have a HUGE movie coming out this week and some fantastic streaming choices as well.

Daniel Craig is the best James Bond. I don’t make the rules, and I just state the facts, people. But if you’re like me, you have been waiting for No Time To Die to come out for a LONG, LONG, LONG time. We finally get to enjoy the curtain call of Mr. Craig and I can’t wait.

Before writing this, I did not know about a Muppets movie coming out on Disney+ with Gonzo spending a night in the haunted mansion. Now that I do, this may be my most anticipated movie of the weekend.

We’ve got two families grieving, we got a farewell to a legend and a woman in love with an animal all dropping this week.

New movies to watch in theaters this weekend

• No Time To Die
• Mass
• Lamb 

There is one film I would love to highlight this weekend and it is a film that debuted at the Sundance Film Festival this year, Mass. It is hands down one of the best movies I’ve seen this year and it has four of the more powerful performance you could see on the big screen. If your local theater is playing this movie, I highly recommend checking it out because it is that good.

Two new movies are hitting Amazon Prime Video this weekend that are included in the ‘Welcome To The Blumhouse’ series they are doing. One of them is The Manor, which is one of my favorite movies of the year. The writing is creative and unique and the performance from Barbara Hershey is fantastic. Seek this one out folks, to get you in the Halloween Spirit.
