The first four episodes of I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021) stream on Amazon Prime Video on Oct. 15, 2021. Everyone loves a suspenseful drama, especially around the Halloween season, but is the slasher series appropriate for younger audiences?

I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021) is a modern take on the 1997 film of the same name. The premise follows a group of friends who are stalked by a killer the summer after the friends killed someone and covered it up.

The Amazon Studios series stars Madison Iseman, Brianne Tju, Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore, and others. But what is it rated? And is it worth watching?

I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021) age rating

As far as horror goes, I Know What You Did Last Summer is not scary. The first four episodes feature a few brutal kills, but nothing too horrifying. However, that doesn’t mean this series has slasher fun in store for the whole family!

The teen drama features nudity and drug usage, and it’s not shy about it. In fact, it’s a little much. It almost feels as if it’s trying way too hard. The drug usage didn’t need to be as extreme, and the nudity is not necessary.

Instead, I would have loved to see more horror. Maybe bigger scares and thrills.

That said, I don’t think parents will want their kids watching this show. No worries, there are plenty of other Halloween options for the kiddos! From the latest Scooby-Doo adventure, Hocus Pocus, The Haunted Mansion, and more. We share family-friendly horror movies HERE.

I Know What You Did Last Summer (2021) still manages to capture your attention and keep you guessing who the killer is. I’ve screened the first four episodes and still am not sure about who the killer could be — I’ll have to continue watching!
