It was another night of great TV. Just how did our favorite shows fare? We’re taking a look at the TV ratings and what they could mean for renewals.

We’re seeing our TV back to normal for the time being. Just keep in mind that this may not be permanent depending on the upcoming strike action (which I completely support even if it means my favorite TV shows won’t be on the air for a while).

The CW has been the last big network to debut new seasons of its shows. Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman were the new seasons to debut on Wednesday, Oct. 13. Legends started the night well, seeing the audience tick up 34% in the total audience compared to the Season 6 premiere. This will likely have a lot to do with the night and timeslot change.

Batwoman didn’t fare as well, and again, likely linked to the night and timeslot change. The show premiered down 33% in the demo and 30% in the audience compared to the Season 2 premiere. This isn’t anything to be concerned about just yet. We’ll have to see how the returning shows stabilize on the network first.

The Masked Singer steady, A Million Little Things up in the live TV ratings

Wednesday night saw some mixed results overall. The Goldbergs was up 3% in the demo, but it was down 4% in the audience. Chicago Fire remained steady in the demo but was down 1% in the audience. The firefighter drama did pull in the top audience of the night as usual, with Chicago Med and Chicago PD in second and third place respectively. Of course, we’re not worried about the One Chicago shows since they’re already renewed.

The Masked Singer pulled in the highest demo of the night, and remained steady in the audience. If this show has stabilized, we’re sure to see a renewal. I also don’t think we have to worry about Survivor‘s 14% drop in the demo or 6% drop in the audience. In fact, the CBS shows only aired their second episode of new seasons, so we’re not too concerned about them just yet. Drops are normal.

A Million Little Things, The Wonder Years, and The Conners were the only shows to see upward ticks in both metrics. We’ll likely see The Conners renewed if all cast members agree to sign on again, but I don’t think the upward ticks are enough for A Million Little Things. I do see The Wonder Years being renewed after its 6% uptick in the demo and 7% uptick in the audience. The numbers are on the low side compared to The Goldbergs and The Conners, but upward ticks are good signs.

I’m also concerned about Alter Ego‘s future. The show dropped another 4% in the demo and also 2% in the audience. It’s coming in low compared to its Masked Singer lead-in. Home Economics is another show I’m concerned about after its 14% dip in the demo. While the audience was up 3%, the numbers are still on the low side compared to the other Wednesday comedies on the network.

Take a look at how your favorite shows fared in the live TV ratings for Wednesday, Oct. 13.
