It is a HUGE weekend for Netflix fans as a pair of fan-favorite shows returned but just in case you need options Hidden Remote has you covered. We’ll give you a full list of Netflix shows and movies that you should be adding to your list this weekend.

The big titles are You and The Baby-Sitters Club but if you’re not looking for shows, there are a pair of good movie options. It is the spooky season so both options fall into the mystery/thriller genre and one of them features Noomi Rapace (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). If you’re looking for a good animated option for the kids, Karma’s World has made its debut.

While this week’s list has many great options, there were also several great Netflix shows and movies released last week. Dave Chappelle’s new special, The Closer, has been incredibly controversial but that has not stopped people from watching. Another release from last week, the final season of On My Block, joins Chappelle’s special in the top 5 most popular titles on Netflix currently.

Best show this week

In case it wasn’t obvious, You is the show to watch this weekend. Whether you binge the new season or look to savor it, You is one of the best Netflix shows and movies on the platform so it’s going to be hard to skip. The first season left us stunned and the second season managed to deliver twist after twist that no one could have seen coming.

Going into the third season, we know what to expect from Joe but Love is a bit of a different story. Then you have to add a baby into the mix? What kind of sick and twisted ride are we in for? The only way to find out is to hit play.

Best movie this week

The best movie this week is the Noomi Rapace thriller, The Trip, which I alluded to earlier. The movie has an innocent enough name but the activities that ensue are anything but innocent. The story follows a couple who go to a remote cabin under the guise of getting away to reconnect. However, both parties have made plans to kill the other while they’re at this cabin.

If that doesn’t make for enough suspenseful drama, the pair get some unexpected visitors that make their situation that much more dangerous. The Trip sounds like it could be a lot of fun and the reviews so far indicate that it does deliver.
