Since kicking off its 47th season on Saturday, Oct. 2, Saturday Night Live has featured the hosting debuts of a string of incredible celebrities and shows no signs of slowing down.

To kick off the season, NBC tapped Loki star Owen Wilson to make his SNL debut alongside musical guest Kacey Musgraves. One week later, Kim Kardashian West delivered an incredible performance as the second host of the season with musical guest Halsey and just this last weekend Oscar-winner Rami Malek took to the stage alongside musical guest Young Thug.

Needless to say, season 47 has had some truly amazing hosts and NBC has another incredible host lined up for this weekend — one who has quite a notable history with the series!

Who’s hosting Saturday Night Live on October 23?

This weekend, former SNL cast member Jason Sudeikis will return to Studio 8H as the host of the fourth episode of season 47 airing Oct. 23, 2021.

Sudeikis is, of course, hot of his Emmy win for his work on Apple TV+’s breakout comedy Ted Lassowhich just recently wrapped its second season.

Has Jason Sudeikis hosted Saturday Night Live before?

Surprisingly, Jason Sudeikis has not returned to host Saturday Night Live since his departure from the show in 2013. As such, his appearance as the host of the Oct. 23 episode of SNL will mark Sudeikis’s SNL hosting debut.
