Watch Batwoman season 3, episode 2 live online tonight: “Loose Tooth”

The Batwoman season 3 premiere, “Mad Hatter,” established a forced partnership between Ryan Wilder and the deliciously eccentric Alice. It’s a match made in hell but the chemistry between Javicia Leslie and Rachel Skarsten is enough to sell this duo that shouldn’t work.
While the main story of the season revolves around the havoc Batman’s villain trophies are set to unleash on the city, seeing the two of them begrudgingly work through their issues together while fighting crime could be a highlight of season 3 if the writers play their cards right.
A villain acting as a consultant for a hero is not new terrain, but it’ll be interesting to see Batwoman‘s spin on it especially with Renee Montoya pushing the issue. There’s nothing like a little blackmail to bring people together.
Mary and Luke, however, aren’t going to like this team up one bit and tensions in the bat cave are about to skyrocket. Here’s what to expect from episode two of season 3, “Loose Teeth”!
What is Batwoman season 3, episode 2 about?
Killer Croc rises again in “Loose Teeth.” Batwoman and Alice are on the case though Ryan would rather be partnered with literally anyone else. However, that’s not the only stressful situation she’ll have to manage.
Ryan didn’t open the envelop to see who her birth mother is, but all the news surrounding season 3 has been working rather hard to insinuate that Jada Jet is the woman who faked her death to remove herself from Ryan’s life.
The two women are put in each other’s paths in episode three when Jada insists on a meeting with the acting CEO of Wayne Enterprises which happens to be Ryan. We’d ask, “What’s a little business between family,” but it’s still unclear if Jada and Ryan are related or this is all a red herring. Either way Batwoman has us on the hook.
Lastly, Luke and Mary’s relationship will be strained in “Loose Teeth” thanks to a secret Luke is keeping. It seems unlikely that he’d hide the fact that his dad programmed the Batwing suit with a recorded message for him, but if he’s not hiding that then we’re not sure what he could be keeping a secret.
Unless it’s his refusal to acknowledge that his struggles while crime fighting aren’t solely due to his suit malfunctioning. It’s okay to admit when your scared and how that fear can make you freeze but perhaps Luke doesn’t want to own up to this particular road block on his hero’s journey.
