It’s been three decades since Keanu Reeves first became a household name, and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, he might just be getting started.
When we look back years from now at the summer of 2019, it will probably be known as the summer of Keanu Reeves. With his action threequel John Wick 3 killing at the box office, his comedic, self-parodying turn in Netflix rom com Always Be My Maybe busting guts, and his voice work in Toy Story 4 touching hearts, he’s successfully delivered an entertainment trifecta that few other actors could only dream about executing.
For years, viewers made fun of poor, sweet Keanu, poking fun at what they perceived to be a (very) limited range and wooden presence. But he’s endured with an approach to acting and entertainment that’s more zen, focused, and varied than your average A-lister. Keanu Reeves is having fun, y’all. And we’re just blessed to be along for the ride.
