During the previous episode, it looked like Dr. Baptiste had learned about Malvo and Reynolds’ affair and had retaliated. It turned out that wasn’t the case, but it certainly sets the tone for tonight’s episode. It’s time for Baptiste to learn the truth.

Malvo says that she and Reynolds are doing nothing wrong. However, she clearly has some concerns. Is it because Baptiste is setting a rule for him but expects her to stay faithful? Or is it just that Malvo doesn’t really feel like she’s playing by the rules right now?

I guess we’ll find out how Baptiste takes to it. Just how happy is he going to be with his wife having a relationship with his second in command?

Max and Sharpe need to have a talk on New Amsterdam Season 4, Episode 6

The end of the previous episode also saw Max declare that maybe he wouldn’t leave the hospital after all. He doesn’t want to leave the hospital in the hands of Dr. Fuentes.

Sharpe overheard that, and just after she realized that her memory of her dad leaving wasn’t right. Her dad didn’t pull her away, and now she feels like she doesn’t really know her mom. The last thing she needed at that point was to find out that Max wasn’t all in with her. He still puts the hospital first.

He always will. This is something Max and Sharpe both need to admit, and they need to have a heart-to-heart about this.

There are going to be a few things that get in the way, though. One of them is a groundbreaking surgery that sees Dr. Elizabeth Wilder return. It’s time to see what an OR is like with her in charge, and I can’t wait!
