Batwoman season 3 episode 3 livestream: “Freeze” as in Mr. Freeze?

Batwoman season 3 is getting a slow start with the Batman trophies. While the Mad Hatter and Killer Croc were decent enough villains of the week, the show definitely needs to turn the dial up. Hopefully, “Freeze” does so on both a superhero level and a personal one for Team Bat.

Last episode, “Loose Tooth,” brought Ryan and Jada face-to-face in a business conflict where only Ryan knew of their relation to each other.

By the end of the season’s second episode, the proverbial cat was out of the bag thanks to Ryan paying her birth mother a visit in the same fashion that was done to her. Unannounced, uninvited, and bearing a presence that shook up her world.

The big question of “Freeze” is whether or not Ryan and Jada will come to some tentative understanding or if one of them will be left out in the cold. It’s a fitting episode title especially considering the calling card of the villain we suspect will be making their debut in Batwoman.

What is Batwoman season 3 episode 3 “Freeze” about?

The trailer for episode 3 keeps its cards close to the vest, in terms of its villain, but it’s likely the new Big Bad in town is going to be Mr. Freeze. Though the chances of Victor Fries making an appearance aren’t that high.

Remember, Batwoman season 3 is centered on random Gotham city citizens coming across the caped crusader’s trophies and being endowed with the abilities of the villains he put away in his time as Gotham’s dark knight. Whoever may have picked up Mr. Freeze’s trophy may be someone we’ve never heard of but that doesn’t mean this won’t be an exciting episode.

Besides the possible arrival of an iconic Big Bad, “Freeze” will also focus on the chilly family drama between the Jets and Ryan. Our fierce hero won’t only be dealing with the complicated emotions surrounding the reality that her birth mother is alive but also that she has a brother who her mother raised.

Yes, that means Marquis Jet (Nick Creegan) has showed up on the scene. Will the two strangers find their way to being siblings? Perhaps but only time will tell. Meanwhile, Alice will be planting seeds of doubt in Mary’s head about her place on Team Bat.

She doesn’t skulk from rooftop to rooftop or stakeout Gotham’s gritty underbelly to root out evil. Now that both Ryan and Luke are out fighting crime while she stays in the bat cave, Mary is the odd woman out.

It’s unclear what Alice’s endgame is with the emotionally manipulative talk she gives Mary, but it can’t be leading to anything good.
