Earlier this month, Real Housewives star Dorit Kemsley was the victim of a horrifying home invasion. The star recently shared some haunting details about the night.

According to Page Six, Dorit Kemsley opened up about the home invasion to friend and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Teddi Mellencamp. Kemsley shared how she was caught completely off guard and how the burglars were also surprised to find Kemsley was in the home.

Kemsley shares:

"“[The burglars] were surprised to see me at home…When they did, they pushed me to the ground. They said, ‘Who else is in the home?”"

Knowing that your house has been broken into while you are away is scary enough! Just knowing that your privacy was invaded is horrible. So I can’t even imagine being inside the home while this is happening! To make things worse, Kemsley’s children were in the home, too.

Dorit Kemsley says she begged for the life of her children

The source continues to share that all Kemsley could think about were her two children sleeping in their rooms, Jagger (7) and Phoenix (5), whom she shares with husband Paul “PK” Kemsley. PK was in London at the time.

When one of the robbers suggested to “just kill her,” Kemsley begged them for their life:

"“All I could think of [was], ‘I have to save those babies.’ I begged them, I begged for my life, and I begged for their life.”"

Kemsley then encouraged the robbers to take anything they wanted. She says she told the intruders they could have it all, but to not hurt her or the kids, and she tried to do this as calmly as possible, sharing that she knows things would have escalated if she panicked.

Luckily, Jagger and Phoenix never woke up during the invasion. In fact, the kids still have no idea anything happened.

Understandably, Kemsley is still suffering panic attacks due to this traumatizing event. She worries she’ll never feel safe again. Kemsley also adds that her friends and RHOBH cast mates have been incredibly supportive.

The Los Angeles Police Department shared video footage of the intruders in hopes of finding them. The robbers got away with valuable objects that include jewelry and watches.
