Tuesday TV ratings: The Bachelorette continues to fall, FBI: International up
A night of everything airing new brings some mixed results in the live TV ratings. While FBI: International gained, The Bachelorette fell again.
After a lot of downward ticks last week due to Game 6 in the World Series, most TV shows bounced back on Tuesday, Nov. 9. This was expected.
There are a few shows that we’ll quickly note but that we’re not concerned about. New Amsterdam was up 53% in the demo and 8% in the audience. It matched FBI: Most Wanted‘s demo to be the top of the timeslot, although the audience is still a little behind. We already know Season 5 is happening, though.
Supergirl aired its two-hour finale, with the first episode up 42% in the demo and 48% in the audience. It was a good start, but the series finale dropped 17%. It was still a big goodbye to the third Arrowverse show to come to an end.
The Bachelorette down, FBI: International up in the live TV ratings
ABC didn’t have the best of nights. It all started with The Bachelorette falling in the ratings again. It was down 25% in the demo and down 10% in the audience. This is starting to get concerning. The show is now below FOX’s numbers, and FOX has traditionally struggled on Tuesdays against CBS.
Queens was up, though. It looks like the Thursday reruns may have helped as the show was up 7% in the demo and 12% in the audience. Is it enough to keep the series going? I’m on the fence about that, but it’s a good start.
The Resident and Our Kind of People returned after two weeks off. The former was up 13% in the demo but down 12% in the audience. That’s okay. This series did see a three-year time jump, which will have affected a little. We’ll see how it stabilizes.
Our Kind of People was up 7% in the demo but down 7% in the audience. The season hasn’t been given a backorder by FOX, which suggests that it’s not getting renewed.
The Voice was the top of the night in the demo, with its 3% upward tick to 0.8. This isn’t that surprising. The steady audience means the show is most definitely being renewed, but it wasn’t enough to beat FBI.
However, NBC did have a good night following on. You already know about New Amsterdam, but La Brea also saw a 39% upward tick in the demo and a 14% upward tick in the audience. I’m betting on a second season.
The three FBIs did well. The parent show was up 20% in the demo and steady in the audience. FBI: International was up 8% in the demo and also steady in the audience. Both of these are going to be renewed. I also think FBI: Most Wanted will be renewed. While it was down 9% in the demo and down 3% in the audience, it was still the strongest of the timeslot and was the third-strongest scripted show in the audience.
