House of Gucci release date, cast, trailer, synopsis, and more

Family is important, and as Lady Gaga says in the trailer, “Father, son, and House of Gucci.” The story of fame, murder, and betrayal with one of the most well-known families in business comes to the big screen in House of Gucci.

Directed by Ridley Scott, the film is centered around Patrizia Reggiani and her rise and fall into one of the leading fashion houses in all of the world. The film is based on the Sara Gay Forden’s 2001 book, The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.

This biographical crime drama promises to an over-the-top spectacle, featuring a lot of thick Italian accents and heavy prosthetics. (Looking at you, Jared Leto.) The film has been called an “absurdly enjoyable Italian soap opera” by Entertainment Weekly.

The film is scheduled to be released theatrically in the United States on Nov. 24, 2021. After its theatrical run, it will stream on Paramount+.

This cast is one of the most star-studded ensembles of 2021. At the forefront is Lady Gaga, who plays Patrizia Reggiani, an ambitious outsider who marries into the family and eventually becomes the brains behind the murder of her ex-husband, Maurizio Gucci. Opposite Gaga is Adam Driver, who plays the aforementioned ex-husband and murder victim.

Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons, Salma Hayek, and Al Pacino round out the cast.
