La Brea has been renewed for a second season! When is La Brea season 2 coming out and who will return? Here’s everything we know so far.
Rejoice, La Brea fans! NBC has decided to renew the freshman drama for season 2. No pun intended, but the first few episodes of La Brea were a bit shaky. To be honest, we weren’t sure where the series stood. However, it quickly captured all our attention after episode 3 and now we’re completely invested.
La Brea stars Natalie Zea, Eoin Macken, and Nicholas Gonzales, and others. It follows a group of survivors who fell into a massive sinkhole that opened up in the middle of L.A., and has transported the victims in Los Angeles circa 10,000 B.C. Audiences also see loved ones of the victims desperately trying to get them back.
While it took a couple of episodes to get our attention, TV Line reports that the ratings have always been great. From the source:
"La Brea was this fall’s top-rated freshman debut, with a 0.8 demo rating (in Live+Same Day numbers; that number swells to a 1.1 with delayed playback). Season-to-date among new broadcast shows, the sci-fi drama is No. 1 in the coveted 18-49 demo, averaging a 1.0 rating (in Live+7 numbers)."
La Brea season 2 release date
It’s been an interesting and action-packed journey and we’re ready for more! The season 1 finale is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, so we still have a few episodes to go! No release date has been announced (we’ll update this piece as soon as we know more).
That said, we are not sure when the new episodes will arrive, but if it follows the schedule of season 1, we should see La Brea season 2 in the Fall TV 2022 season.
