Insecure season 5 spoilers: Do Issa and Nathan end up together?

Insecure season 5 epsiode 4 titled, “Faulty, Okay?!” just dropped on HBO Max, and it’s safe to say that this was one of the most heartwarming episodes that we’ve had thus far.

Aside from a beach barbeque party gone wrong, episode 4 gave us many moments between Issa and her longtime friend and sorta, kinda ex-boyfriend Nathan. The two seemed to have finally gotten to a place of understanding one another and now, it seems that they may be heading towards the endgame.

Are Issa and Nathan a couple?

A congratulations are definitely in order for our girl Issa is, in fact, dating Nathan!

This good news may come as a shock to you because, at the beginning of the episode, it seemed that Nathan was hitting it off with his co-worker and was absolutely off-limits, however, after he cleared up the misunderstanding, it was shown that he was certainly single and ready to mingle with the founder of The Blocc.

Shortly after Nathan informed Issa that he was single, he opened up to Issa about why the ghosts from his past made him feel uneasy, stating that he had his most severe manic episode that caused him to not only cause strife in his relationship with his cousin and his wife but also cause a little hiccup in his previous relationship with Issa in season 3 where he ghosted her for months.

By the end of their vulnerable moment, they both admitted that they didn’t want to be just friends and shared a passionate (and earth-shaking) kiss that marked the beginning of their new relationship that now has a more solid foundation than the first time.

It’s good to see that despite their past failed relationship and despite their awkward kiss that ended with Issa crying in his mouth, Nathan and Issa are finally an item!
