The Flash season 8 premieres tonight on The CW with a crossover called “Armageddon.” The five episode event will see Barry and Team Flash team up with Black Lightning, Batwoman, The Atom, Ryan Choi, Sentinel, and Mia Smoak’s Green Arrow. The Reverse Flash and Damien Darhk will also be featured in the crossover.
We last left the team on a happy note. Westallen renewed their vows with both of their children, Bart and Nora, present and Cisco officiating. It was a beautiful ceremony that featured a solo cover of Jonah Mutono’s “1949” by Bart who honored his parents’ love and commitment to one another with the song.
In spite of the very real danger Iris’ life is in due to her time sickness, their family and friends came together in a moment that ended season 7 on a high. Now, season 8 is set to shake things back up though it won’t be because of Iris uncontrollably moving between temporal planes.
No, our leading lady will have to put that concern on the back burner as Despero’s land on Earth puts the planet on a collision course with danger. Team Flash is going to have their hands full with this Big Bad.

But with time running out and the fate of humanity at stake, Flash and his companions will also need to enlist the help of some old friends if the forces of good are to prevail.
