The Hating Game movie release date, cast, trailer, synopsis and more

Romance readers of the world can rejoice. After what’s felt like lightyears of waiting, The Hating Game movie is finally almost here. Based on the popular book by Sally Thorne, this movie has been years in the making and after a few slight changes, we’re finally able to see it with our eyes.

While book-to-movie adaptations have been popular for years, we’ve only just recently been seeing more romance book-to-movie adaptations. The Hating Game is pretty special too as it’s only just now celebrating its 5-year publication anniversary. Considering the grip it still has on romance readers, it’s no surprise.

However, finally getting to this book come to life is a dream come true. With the casting changes and delays due to COVID, it felt like we’d be waiting even longer. Nevertheless, we’re very close to finally seeing Lucy and Josh grace the big screen. As someone who adored the book, this is all very exciting and overwhelming.

If you loved The Hating Game as a book or just love a good romantic comedy, then be sure to keep reading as Hidden Remote has all of the details you need to know.

The Hating Game movie release date

The movie is set to hit theaters on December 10th, 2021. Basically in just a few short weeks, we’ll be seeing Lucy and Josh on the big screen. The film will also be available to stream from home with VOD, too. No matter, you’ll be able to watch the film on December 10th.

The Hating Game movie synopsis

Directed by Peter Hutchings, the film will follow Lucy and Josh as they both work at the same company and the firey hatred the two share between them. However, it comes to a head when the hatred turns into passion and everything gets even more confusing for Lucy from there. Sounds like a classic enemies-to-lovers situation to me.
