How many Grinch movies have been made?

First, there’s the original, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, which premiered in 1966. It’s a short version of the Dr. Seuss book of the same name. Since it’s a quick version, it’s a lot of fun (and easy) to watch each holiday season. But if you love more story details, there are plenty more available.

If you want to dig into WHY the Grinch hates Christmas so much, there’s the 2000 movie, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, starring Jim Carrey. After the original, the Jim Carrey movie is the most popular.

Finally, there’s The Grinch, which sees Benedict Cumberbatch voice the green meanie in the animated movie. That’s right, there are only three movies! It does seem like there are more, but that’s possibly because the movies are so popular.
