Something strange in the neighborhood, who you gonna to call? Ghostbusters. More on that later, today, we share the best new movies to watch in theaters and films available on streaming services that you don’t want to miss.

We have reached the mid-way point of the month and we are inching closer and closer to eating an insane amount of food, but first, we have a loaded list of new movies coming out this weekend we need to tell you about.

I recently wrote about the best movies of the ’80s and obviously, I had to talk about one of the most iconic franchise starters in the Ghostbusters. In 2016, we saw a female-led Ghostbusters come out and I loved it, but today, we are bringing back the Ghostbusters of yesterday to meet with a brand new cast of people, are you excited?

We got people who trap ghosts, a man grooming his two kids to be the best tennis players ever and Spider-Man singing all coming out this week.

New movies to watch in theaters this weekend

Although it’s getting a limited release, I ask you to seek out C’mon C’mon if it is coming out in a theater near you. It is by far one of the best movies of the year and one of my favorite buddy comedies of all time. Mike Mills captures this beautiful world of these kids, explaining what they think the future has in store for us while Johnny (Joaquin Phoenix) and Jesse (Woody Norman) develop a heartwarming story of their own at the same time.

New movies to stream from home this weekend

  • King Richard (HBO Max)
  • tick, tick… BOOM! (Netflix)
  • The Princess Switch 3: Romancing the Star (Netflix)
  • Psych 3: This is Gus (Peacock)

Will Smith is back! One of my all-time favorite actors is taking on the role of Richard Williams, the father of two of the greatest athletes ever in Venus and Serena Williams, in the movie King Richard. Smith looks to have some Oscar aspirations within this role, as people have said it is one of his best performances.

What will you be watching this weekend? Will you enjoy a movie in theaters or streaming?
