Yaz and Dan are trapped in the early 1900s in Doctor Who Season 13, Episode 5. How can they get out without the TARDIS or The Doctor?
We’ve got a lot going on in the world of Doctor Who right now. Everything is going to connect together, but it’s hard to see how that is in some cases. We’re onto the penultimate episode of the season now, although there are three specials to come in 2022 that may end up continuing some of the story.
At the end of the previous episode, Yaz and Dan found themselves trapped in 1901. The Doctor remained in 1967, but she’s not safe. She’s been turned into a Weeping Angel, and it looks like all those theories about the Weeping Angels being connected to the Time Lords in some way is becoming true.
Meanwhile, Vinder is on his home planet looking for his girlfriend/wife/whatever he wants to call her. Will he ever come across her now that she’s off in space somewhere? Can they find their way to each other?
What to expect on Doctor Who Season 13, Episode 5
The new episode will see Yaz and Dan in the 1900s. The promo tells us they’ve been in the decade for three years, now. What has that done for their bond? We should see that they’ve grown close, learned to trust each other. This is exactly the same amount of time Yaz has been with The Doctor.
Dan should have also learned a little more about the world of aliens and time travel. This should mean losing some of the clueless elements to his character, which could have gotten a little infuriating and annoying after a while.
The two will need to figure out how to save The Doctor. Meanwhile, we need to find out what Swarm is up to. The Flux is threatening the whole universe, but it’s clearly part of Swarm’s big plan.
