For the whole family? This is more than perfect for the whole family.
What it’s about: Does Elf need any introduction? For those who have somehow missed it, this is a movie about a human baby who ends up being raised by one of Santa’s elves. Of course, the human grows to be much bigger than the elves.
When he finds out that his biological father is on Santa’s Naughty List, he heads to New York City to help change that. What happens when he experiences the real world after growing up in a land of Christmas, and happiness, and cheer?
Why you should watch it: This is just one of those heartfelt movies that is full of laughter and cheer. Whether it’s watching Buddy the Elf figure out life in New York City, or just experiencing his growth as a person as he does learn more, this is a movie that brings a lot of great storytelling. It’s simply one of those perfect family Christmas movies and shows.
I say this as someone who doesn’t like a lot of Will Ferrell movies. They tend to be over the top for me, but Elf captures the magic of Christmas and offers fun for the entire family. And I mean for the entire family. There are some great jokes for the older adults in the house!
Where to stream: Elf is available to stream on HBO Max. You can also buy it on Digital via Amazon Video, iTunes, Google Play, and more.
