New movies in theaters and streaming: December 3, 2021

To be honest, I am quite enjoying the holidays, an ice peppermint mocha while writing this is perfect. Today, we share the best new movies to watch in theaters and films available on streaming services that you don’t want to miss.

We all have those long weeks, and figuring out what is for dinner is already a battle, so we’re here  to make your job easier in figuring out what to watch over the weekend by providing you a quick list of movies now available.

I want to say, this is what I call the “calm before the storm” week. The first week of December is light in movies, for the most part, but it has some good quality content to check out. However, over the next two weeks, there are so many movies that I lost count of how many times I will be in theaters (or streaming from my couch).

We got a man who thinks he is a wolf, a dog with power, and a ranch that has Christmas on it coming out this week.

George MacKay broke onto the scene for me during his riveting performance in 1917, and he hits the big screen for his latest leading role in Wolf. Mackay stars opposite of Lily-Rose Depp in a film about, you guessed it, a wolf. Well, a man who thinks a wolf is trapped inside of him.

New movies to stream from home this weekend

• The Power of the Dog (Netflix)
• Single All the Way (Netflix)
• Christmas at the Ranch (Tello Films)

I missed several opportunities in seeing The Power of the Dog early and I have regrets because the rants and raves have been HUGE over this movie. The Oscar conversation centered around the film from Best Picture to Best Director for Jane Campion to Best Actor in Benedict Cumberbatch. I can’t wait to check this one out!
