If you were to ask me which Christmas movie is the best, my answer would be Home Alone. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not an easy answer, I love almost all holiday movies! But Home Alone is right at the top of my list with Elf following close behind. Which one is yours? A fun map put together by Preply features the most-searched for Christmas movies from all 50 states, did they get yours right?

Here at Hidden Remote, we love learning fun movie facts and we love this cool map from the source. You can check it out HERE. Preply analyzed popular search trends this season related to 115 of the highest rated and highest-grossing holiday movies, and you can bet Home Alone is included! All of these are according to Rotten Tomatoes scores and Box Office Mojo ticket sale records.

After checking out the 115 most popular movies, Preply narrowed down the list to the top 25 most-searched for films and evaluated them by their popularity in each state. The top three? Home Alone, The Grinch (2018), and Elf, in this order.

Surprisingly, Edward Scissorhands came in fourth and Happiest Season at no. 5. I say surprisingly not because I don’t love the movies, I do! But I assumed more jolly movies would make the top 5, so seeing Edward Scissorhands at no. 4 was unexpected.
