Dexter: New Blood episode 8 recap: Kurt vs Dexter vs Angela?

Dexter: New Blood episode 8 is now streaming on the Showtime app and will air on the network tonight at 9 p.m. ET, so if you haven’t seen it just yet know that spoilers are ahead! 

Episode 8, “Unfair Game,” featured a fun and thrilling chase in the woods of Iron Lake. I was worried about Dexter there for a second. Things are getting intense, but it’s about time! I don’t know about you, but this series has been taking its time moving the story along. If it’s a limited series with no second season, things need to start picking up, and this is exactly what episode 8 does.

Once again, spoilers ahead if you haven’t watched Dexter: New Blood episode 8 on Showtime. Now, let’s recap the episode and what’s to come.

What happens to Dexter in Dexter: New Blood episode 8?

Kurt got one of his guys to kidnap Dexter and bring him to the cabin. The plan was to bring Dexter just in time to see Harrison get shot by Kurt. But Dexter wasn’t about to give up so easily. He fights for his life and makes a run for it. It’s not easy, but Dexter manages to trap and kill the guy who took him, but not before the man reveals where Kurt has taken Harrison.

What happens to Harrison in Dexter: New Blood episode 8?

While Dexter is busy escaping, Kurt is bonding with Harrison. They go to the school, which Kurt has the keys to, and play some ball before Kurt takes Harrison back to his secret cabin for dinner. At this point, Dexter is already on his way, texting Harrison to stay away from Kurt, but does Harrison listen? Of course not!

Kurt finally shows his true colors when he orders Harrison to make a run for it while pointing his sniper gun at Harrison. Harrison is stunned and so confused, but he runs. Luckily, Dexter arrives just in time, but Kurt is able to escape. Nothing good ever happens after someone escapes from Dexter.

On the way back home, Dexter tells Harrison that there’s a lot he needs to know and shares that he, too, has a dark side he is forced to control. Dexter talks about how his father taught him how to control his urges, and promises to teach Harrison the same.

What happens to Angela in Dexter: New Blood episode 8?

Meanwhile, Angela is digging into things after she learns that Dexter beat up the drug dealer he believed gave Harrison the pills. She finds it all very suspicious and starts putting the pieces of the puzzle together. From the look of things, she is able to figure out that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher, so we can’t wait to see what she will do with this information!
