This show-within-a-show dramedy about a team of reality tv producers casting a dance show is by far one of the most heartwarming and entertaining series to debut in 2021. You’ll fall in love with The Big Leap‘s cast (both the reality show’s cast and the producers behind it) and with watching the group of strangers learn to trust and uplift one another in this feel-good show. The entire first season of The Big Leap is available to stream on Fox and Hulu.

2 – The Mysterious Benedict Society

In June 2021, The Mysterious Benedict Society show, based on the popular book series of the same name, debuted on Disney+. The family mystery adventure series brought audiences to a colorful, whimsical place where a group of gifted and talented orphans are sent on an important mission. As they go undercover at a truly odd boarding school to expose its secrets, they utilize their unique strengths to help save their city. The first season of The Mysterious Benedict Society is available to stream on Disney+ and the series will return for another season.

3 – Reservation Dogs

Reservation Dogs is a half-hour teen comedy-drama that follows a group of Indigenous teenagers in rural Oklahoma as they do everything in their power to try and get the money to travel to California — a place that’s something of a mystery to them. One of this year’s underrated shows, the series has been celebrated as “groundbreaking” and the entire first season is currently available to stream on FX and Hulu.
