India is the land of stories, and their stories are the best in the world. Here, we share 10 Indian web series you need to watch in 2022.

If you look at anything around India, every situation or life is a story. The Holy Ramayana is also called Ramleela, where Lord Rama has taught life lessons through his own life and narrated to us as a story. Ramayana and Ramleela are a fact the web series created by the Indian creators is fictional on most occasions. We say most because some web series had real-life events, and the presentation was exceptional. The real-life web series creators didn’t take creative liberty to portray something that would cause concerns. It is a learning experience for those that try to use controversy as a tool to promote their web series or film.

As 2021 ends and 2022’s Day 1 draws near, we decided to look at some Indian web series that are anxiously awaited (unless their sequel is banned for some odd reason) by the Indian web series fans worldwide. We picked a select few for this piece. We hope to hear your thoughts in the comments, so chime in.

Let’s begin the countdown (in no particular order)…

10 Indian web series to check out

#10 The Family Man

The friendship between JK and his best friend Srikant is not the crux of this series, but it goes well with the nail-biting show. The show’s suspense and action, followed by the funny moments between JK and Srikant, are a breath of fresh air.

While various moments enthral the fans attention, I loved the emoji session from season 1 of the show. Sharib’s transition from the fun-loving Sunny Arora to Mr. Talpade is a treat, and he matches well to the acting powerhouse Mr. Manoj Bajpayee. I know he would say ‘Bhaisahab, Kuch zyada nahin ho Gaya’ in his typical style from Filmistaan, but he deserves the credit. The two seasons of the show are revetting. We can’t wait for the third season.

#9 Mirzapur

If you want to compare Manoj Bajpayee or Pankaj Tripathi, you need a new standard for these two actors. They are the holding ground for their respective shows. The action, revenge, gunshots and the presentation are flawless. Munna Bhaiya may be famous amongst kids. Legends know what Akhandanand Tripathi was in the web series.

His mere presence in the show was something to look for in awe. As he got saved in the second season of the web series, fans are asking for the third installment, and we concur. The show received some backlash after some political issues and concerns as the name was identical to a location in Uttar Pradesh. We will have to see if the third season comes in or not.

#8 Scam 1992

Based on a real-life situation, Scam 1992 fascinated the fans, but if there’s any way that the makers could come with a second season, then the fans will love it. The fans showed their love as it won the ITA Award for Landmark-OTT.

Pratik Gandhi rose to fame with the central character, and he proved again that through hard work, perseverance and proper presentation, you can achieve the unfathomable. If the creators create a second season, the fans will watch it instantly.

#7 Pataal Lok

Pataal Lok is the name given to hell, and this series was a hell of a ride. The packed performances, powerful presentation and character stories was a ride of its own. No one could have thought that the series would do so well, but it delivered and delivered beyond expectations.

Fans of the show want a second season, and we believe it to be the perfect demand. It’s almost like that craving for more Maggi after you just finished a pack of it. The story deserves a response, but what if there’s nothing more? We would let the creators decide.

#6 Grahan

If past and present could be interconnected, then Grahan is one story that needs an audience. The web series is exceptional, and there’s no way that one can miss it. If you haven’t watched it yet, you are missing something.

The story could unravel with something else, or there could be something else, but we need this story to be produced, directed, and shown to the fans. We hope the creators read this message and create it again in a different environment.

#5 Criminal Justice

There’s nothing better than this series which captivates you and makes you want to skip a meal. You are on the edge of your seat, waiting for something to happen. Pankaj Tripathi Ji, Jackie Shroff Ji and Vikrant Massey Ji delivered something that keeps you biting your nails.

Some shows know how to keep you engrossed with everything they do, and this is one such show. You feel connected with the work at hand, and so you must do everything to make your audience feel that their invested time is worth the money, and this series does just that.

#4 Panchayat

If the above shows kept your nerve ball ticking, then this show keeps your funny bone ticking. If Raghuveer Yadav Ji is in some series, you know that the show is worth your time. He has not missed a beat from his Mungerilal ke Haseen Sapne days to today.

He knows how to make the fans laughing and every section of the show connects to its previous episode. Mukhiya Ji and Nina Ji keep the show rolling with so many others. Naming one actor would feel like a disrespect to the other.

#3 Special Ops

If this wouldn’t be in the top 3, which other series would you want in the top 3? Kay Kay Menon Sir delivers, and may we say over-delivers in the show. The 1.5 series was another one that treated the fans. Himmat Singh gave himmat to the fans, and we now know how he became what he became.

Some so many superstars who made this series worthwhile. We know that Special Ops was a treat for the fans, and just like you, we can’t wait for another series. Neeraj Pandey knows this craft well, and we hope he brings in another season of this series soon.

#2 Asur

Asur and the #1 spot had us confused. It was like comparing Rafi Saheb to Kishore Da. You can’t pick out who is better than the other. They have a cult following, as does the web series Asur. The show’s first season left the fans craving for more.

Rumours afloat that the second season of this series will be available for public viewing in the first quarter of 2022, but there’s no official word. A trip from the makers to announce the release date will elate the fans.

#1 Delhi Crime

The series had to be at the first spot. The depiction of the heinous crime of 2012 requires courage, and the makers delivered on it. The actors stepped it up with their performance, and we need to see what happens in the next season.

Fans eagerly await the announcement of the release date of the second season, but until then, we can re-visit this series and watch it over and over. The crime was heinous and must receive condemnation. The presentation of what went behind the camera should receive praise as the team worked tirelessly to bring the culprits to justice.
