Jeepers Creepers 4: Will Jeepers Creepers: Reborn pick up in Jack Taggart’s barn?

Jeepers Creepers 4 aka Jeepers Creepers: Reborn, the fourth entry in the controversial series, is expected to arrive sometime this year. An official teaser was released this past Halloween, and the film could release this Spring, to acknowledge the feeding cycle of The Creeper. Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is expected to pick up 23 years after the second entry. A moment fans of the franchise have been waiting for since 2003. Certain props from the upcoming film feature clues that confirm its time jump, but Jack Taggart’s post-puncher has been the most convincing.
The Creeper’s return wasn’t expected to happen after the failure of Jeepers Creepers 3. It was critically panned and quickly rushed to the Syfy network after its Fathom Event in 2017. Shockingly, Jeepers Creepers: Reborn was announced last year, and was slated for a Fall release. At the time, very little was known about the project that was filmed in secrecy out in Louisiana and the United Kingdom.
Despite the lack of information, the film’s working title helped unlock some of its secrets. Going Places served as the working title, and assisted in tracking down Sydney Craven, the lead actress in Jeepers Creepers: Reborn. Craven stars as Laine, a young woman who will find herself caught by The Creeper after experiencing haunted premonitions. The rest of the cast was recently revealed and includes the legendary, Dee Wallace.
No stars from the previous installments are expected to return, this includes Jonathan Breck, who starred as The Creeper in the first three films. Gina Philips, who starred as Trisha Jenner, isn’t involved as of this writing. However, she could still make a surprise appearance similar to her role in Jeepers Creepers 3. Ray Wise starred as Jack Taggart, a vengeful father hunting the monster, in Jeepers Creepers 2. Wise isn’t expected to reprise his role, but Jack Taggart’s story seems important to the upcoming film.
Will Jack Taggart’s barn appear in Jeepers Creepers 4?
Jeepers Creepers 2 concluded inside Jack Taggart’s barn, as he waited for The Creeper to return from his 23-year hiatus. Multiple images and behind-the-scenes footage from the fourth entry have surfaced online. It appears that the post-puncher used to stop The Creeper will be returning very soon. Romain Faure, who served as the art director, has a site that lists his contributions to upcoming projects. In regards to Jeepers Creepers, an image of a recreated post-puncher can be found.
The prop doesn’t confirm that Jeepers Creepers: Reborn picks up in the barn with Jack Taggart. It does indicate a chance for that location to be revisited though. A rivalry was born after The Creeper took the man’s son, which fueled the second film’s subplot. Wise was set to return in Jeepers Creepers 3 before it got turned into a prequel to the second entry. Originally, Jeepers Creepers 3 was intended to follow Trisha Jenner and Jack Taggart teaming up to put an end to its reign of terror.
If the post-puncher does appear, it only makes sense for it to appear inside of the barn The Creeper currently resides in. The reawakening might not be shown though, and the barn could just appear via a premonition from Laine or another way. Picking up inside the barn would provide closure to the second film’s ending while rekindling an old feud temporarily before jumping ahead. An official trailer may answer whether or not Jeepers Creepers: Reborn picks up inside of Jack Taggart’s barn.
When is Jeepers Creepers 4 coming out?
Screen Media still hasn’t announced an official release date for Jeepers Creepers: Reborn. Knowing the film takes place at a Horror Hound event could indicate a release between February-April of this year. Horror Hound did announce their involvement with the project, so it could arrive in time for its next event this March. This would be a great way to advertise the film and highlight the lack of involvement from series creator, Victor Salva.

Jeepers Creepers: Reborn is almost here and hopefully it satisfies fans who have waited to see the 23 year time jump. The inclusion of Jack Taggart and his barn would be a fan favorite moment, but hopefully, the film kicks off where the second entry concluded.
