Where was Scream 5 filmed?

The Scream franchise is one of our favorite horror movie series here at Hidden Remote, so we can’t wait until Scream 5 haunts the big screen! And since we love it so much, we’re curious about where filming took place. Did the cast and crew return to the original location?

When it comes to filming locations, the setting of the movie is not always really where filming happened. Some of the most popular filming sets are in Atlanta and Canada. But some productions do stay true to their location. Let’s see what the case is for Scream 5. 

The movies are set in the fictional town of Woodsboro, California, which takes over  many spots and locations across Wilmington, North Carolina.

While filming took place, the movie went by “Parkside” to confuse any onlookers and avoid too much attention, WWAY TV shares. In Wilmington, North Carolina, most of the filming took place in a suburban house on Arden Rd. and Country Club Rd. Hello Sidney also shares that most of the filming was “shot in complete secrecy,” love it! This means we can expect many surprises and shocking reveals production did not want anyone to see.

Other locations include Williston Middle School (which is known in the movie as Woodsboro High), and some scenes were filmed inside and around Cardinal Lanes Bowling. The ILA Union Building in town became the Woodsboro Police Station, and Reggie’s Bar has also been spotted as a location. For more, check out Hello Sidney.
