Dexter: New Blood episode 10 recap: What’s next for Harrison?

The Dexter: New Blood finale was heavily teased from the start. Show creator Clyde Phillips shared that the ending of this show would “blow up the internet,” and he was not joking! Fans quickly took to social media to share how they feel — some love the ending, others absolutely hate it. How do you feel about it? The biggest question is, what’s next for Harrison?

Dexter found himself in a very difficult situation. Angela showed Dexter no mercy and quickly arrested him, determined to put him away for being the Bay Harbor Butcher and pushing for the death penalty. I still thought Dexter could get away with it, until Angela called Batista and a shocked Batista said he’d be on his way on first flight out.

Dexter knew there was no getting away with it now, unless he flees. So he killed Logan, who understandably wouldn’t cooperate, and made a run for it. I see a lot of people complaining about how Harrison killing Dexter is not the finale they wanted for Dexter Morgan, and I get that.

I would rather Dexter die than go to jail, if I’m being honest, but I think Batista should have been the one who kills Dexter. Harrison killing his own father didn’t make a lot of sense to me. Debra didn’t kill Dexter, and she saw a lot more than Harrison did.

What will happen to Harrison after Dexter: New Blood?

In the end, we see Harrison driving away from Iron Lake, New York. Scott Reynolds has teased an upcoming announcement about Dexter: New Blood. My guess after watching the finale? A spin-off. I think there’s a spin-off on the way that will follow Harrison dealing with his own dark passenger. Will he be better than his father? Dexter did kill some innocent people, but it was only so that he wouldn’t get caught.
