What is My Mom, Your Dad on HBO Max about?

Reality dating shows are an essential part of the pop culture mainstream. Many viewers tune in to see the messy, messy situations real people put themselves in for the sake of finding love. It’s what has made shows like The Bachelor so successful.

However, because there are so many reality dating series vying for the public’s attention, each new show is often trying to provide viewers with something they’ve never seen before.

Take HBO Max‘s newest dating show My Mom, Your Dad which follows a group of single parents eager to get back to dating. They’ve been nominated by their adult children to participate in this quest for love but their college-aged kids haven’t simply given their parents a second chance at romance.

While the parents get to know each other better in the house they’re all staying in for the duration of My Mom, Your Dad, their children will be living in the house a stone’s throw away watching their parents date.

They’ll be able to meddle and spy on their parents’ every dating move as they secretly help them make connections, hopefully fall in love, and find the romantic relationship they deserve.

It’s a recipe for cringe worthy moments and heart warming confessions as these young people see a different side of their parents and their parents allow themselves to be vulnerable.
