Severance, Apple TV+‘s unsettling workplace thriller, will introduce viewers to a company that takes confidentiality to new heights.

In order to ensure the work being done at Lumon Industries stays under wraps, each employee goes under a procedure that separates their work life from their private life. Essentially who they are at Lumon is entirely different from who they are at home.

It’s a process that’s done willingly and the employees give their consent or so it seems in the trailer. However, something clearly isn’t right about this company and in nine episode, Severance will slowly unravel the truth though Adam Scott’s character, Mark.

Created by Dan Erickson and directed/executive produced by Ben Stiller, this series is a haunting look at one company’s overreaching policy, the consequences to signing over your memories, and a disturbing examination of the way our personalities can morph from home to work.

Here’s more on Severance.
