Bollywood, or the over glamorized Indian film industry, is taken aback by the success of the Allu Arjun movie Pushpa Raj. The movie’s famous dialogue inspired me to write this article, “main jhukega nahin.”

The Bollywood industry got marred with remakes over remakes of old films with new superstars. If not this, then a series where content gets no value. More value goes to the slo-mo action of the so-called superstars. These superstars date girls half their age and then copy content from here and there to call it a success. Marathi Cinema created Sairat, and Bollywood was quick enough to bag onto the idea of the successful Marathi movie without putting any effort.

Bollywood has bagged so many relevant movies from other languages in the past that we can say that they will take moments to bag this successful movie and call it a remake. Neeraj Chopra’s success in the Olympics got the attention of a Bhatia, who knows nothing about content but make films and bag success to make money in the name of someone else’s efforts. Airlift and Rustom are examples of movies where he portrayed others’ stories to gain money. In Dangal, the coach’s character was contrary to his real-life character to succeed. The problem is that Bollywood has not used their brains since the 1970s, and they continue the same way to date.

It’s the reason why people know Gadar, but not Balraj Sahni Ji’s Garam Hawa. Bollywood followed the idea of making brothers disappear in a crowded state only to meet in the last moments of the running minutes.

Shameful that such people are called icons who led misogyny increase, and with this new movie making the rounds, it’s a given that one of these so-called superstars will bag the rights to this movie without investing their brains, which have been unused since the 1970s. They continually keep hashing one idea over the last five decades. We hope that these so-called Bhai, Badshah, Shahenshah, Khiladi and other pseudo superstars use their brains to create something exemplary this time, instead of remaking a movie of a different language in the Indian subcontinent.

It also raises a question on what has Bollywood done till now? Has it done something to expect itself worthy of being on the Oscar stage for a movie in an international language? Reconsider your choices and think that exceptional movies get made by deserving or newcomers. They hardly get the opportunity to showcase themselves. So new ideas get flushed down the drain like a man who only launches star kids with no acting knowledge or experience, and then they say they have struggled for everything.

Even Sholay got copied from four wonderful western Hollywood classics. They were The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, The Magnificent Seven, Once Upon A Time in The West and For A Few Dollars More. So what’s new that Bollywood would ever make? When will gems like Garam Hawa get their desired credit over Gadar? Bollywood is another copied name of Hollywood.
