Jackass Forever movie review: The comedy movie we all need
By Ricky Valero
It’s been 11 years since the last time we saw Johnny Knoxville and his crew go wild with their outlandish stunts. Well, folks, they are back! Below, we share our review of the Jackass Forever movie.
If you were born in the 80s or early 90s, you grew up on the Jackass. You would throw on MTV and watch these insane guys do crazy stunts that would make you cringe and laugh at the same time. You would never think these guys could one-up the last stunt, but they always did.
Obviously, much like those who grew up with the franchise, we got old! And Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and Chris Pontius got old, too. So to even think about these guys at their age doing these stunts hurts more than ever to watch.
Jackass Forever is nonstop laughs
The entire world has been through a lot over the last few years, but one thing I believe has been missing from the theatrical release scene is a movie that makes you laugh. I’m not talking just any laugh. I’m talking the belly laugh, in tears laugh, and an entire audience sliding down in their chairs type of laugh. From start to finish, the whole movie LAUGH OUT LOUD funny. Don’t get me wrong, the pain I felt watching these guys and girls perform these stunts was brutal, but the laughs kept on coming.
With some of the older characters we all fell in love with not in the picture, I thought they did a great job blending some of the new people in with the old heads. I will refrain from spoiling any of the fun cameos from the film (there are quite a few) but there are some fantastic ones throughout.
Jackass Forever won’t be for everyone and that is fine, but to me, this is the funniest movie I have seen in a long time. I, with the audience, laughed nonstop for an hour and a half and I can’t thank Johnny Knoxville and his crew enough for it.
Jackass Forever is in theaters on Friday, Feb. 4.
