The Scream franchise will continue to live as Scream 6 has been confirmed! When will the upcoming horror slash its way to theaters? Here’s everything we know.

Scream 5 was a hit with both old and new fans. Not only did it successfully manage to bring in some great Box Office bucks, but the story didn’t fail longtime fans. Unlike the disappointing horrors and story that Halloween Kills delivered, Scream 5 did a marvelous job of bringing back old characters for nostalgia and introducing new players. The Scream 5 bloodbath was what the horror doctor ordered to wash away the sour taste left by Halloween Kills and any other failed horror attempts before it.

Bloody Disgusting was one of the first to report that Scream 6 has been ordered by Paramount and Spyglass!

Good news, horror fans! We don’t have to wait that long for the new installment. Scream 6 will hit theaters on March 10, 2023.

Many of the actors from the last Scream movie will return, including Jenna Ortega, Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding, and Courteney Cox. Sadly, we aren’t expecting David Arquette to reprise his role as Dewey because he died in the last film. However, there’s always a possibility he could return at some point to the franchise. The actor himself teased it. Additionally, Neve Campbell will not return as Sidney Prescott.

Hayden Panettiere will reprise her role from Scream 4 as Kirby Reed.

Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett will return to direct the movie.

Scream 6 synopsis

According to MovieWeb, here’s the official synopsis for Scream 6:

"“The Scream saga continues with the four survivors of the Ghostface killings as they leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter.”"

Scream 6 takes place in New York City this time, which will be a nice change for the franchise.
