What is Raised by Wolves about?

Directed by Ridley Scott (Blade Runner), Raised by Wolves is about two androids named Father and Mother that are sent to the planet known as Kepler-22b after the Earth was destroyed by a deadly war. They bring human children that they are responsible for raising on the planet, however, this is no easy task.

From the dangers of the planet to the differing beliefs of the human colonies they interact with, the androids learn that religion, philosophy, lifestyle and loyalty can’t be controlled–and trying to do so can be deadly.

The larger message of the show navigates the complex relationship between technology and religion. It points to the faults in humanity and how flawed beings can be their own destruction as well as their own salvation with gray areas in between.
