Matthew Perry is officially ready to tell his side of the story. The Friends alum has made headlines countless times in his career, for both good and bad reasons. Though the actor has a passionate fanbase from his time playing the one and only Chandler Bing, he’s also faced his fair share of obstacles. This includes substance abuse.

This past October, it was reported that Perry would be releasing an autobiography, not only revealing behind-the-scenes facts from Friends but also opening up about his struggles that he’s faced in the spotlight. As fans of the actor know, he struggled with addiction for years before getting sober in 2001. He’s shared in interviews that he actually doesn’t remember “three years” of his time on the sitcom because of his alcoholism.

“I was a little out of it at the time — somewhere between seasons three and six [of Friends],” he told the BBC in 2016.

Of course, because of how famous Friends made Perry, there’s been a ton of gossip over the years regarding his wellbeing and addiction struggles. Though the actor has opened up in interviews, it seems his autobiography will see him getting more honest than ever before. The 52-year-old star took to Twitter this week to announce the name of his book and share some details about what we can expect.
