The sci-fi epic adventure film known as Dune is back in the news this past week after the BAFTA and Oscar nominations. As its popularity increases, will fans be able to watch it on HBO Max again?

The story of Paul Atreides and his fight to save the planet Arrakis was a huge hit both commercially and critically. Despite the pandemic, Dune was the 11th highest-grossing film of 2021 with over $400 million at the worldwide box office according to Box Office Mojo. Critically, the film garnered 11 BAFTA nominations and 10 Oscar nominations including a coveted spot in the Best Picture category.

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Timothée Chalamet stars as Atreides, the young heir to the throne who travels to Arrakis with his family to bring peace to the planet and protect Arrakis’s number one resource, “spice.” The star-studded cast includes Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.

Because Dune was a Warner Bros. property in 2021, the film received a day and date release with HBO Max to go along with the theatrical experience on Oct. 21, 2021. The sci-fi adventure streamed on HBO Max for one month before leaving the service.

Thanks to its recent surge in awards season, many fans are wondering when Dune will stream again on HBO Max.

When will Dune stream on HBO Max again?

Paul and Chani are coming back to streaming, but it won’t be in February. Dune will return to HBO Max on March 10, which is conveniently a few days before final voting for the Oscars.

If you cannot wait until March 10, you can rent or buy the film on most PVOD services like Prime Video, Apple TV, Google Play, and more.
