Teen Wolf is officially staging a comeback with a new chapter of the beloved MTV drama coming in 2022 in the form of a new Teen Wolf revival movie set to debut exclusively on Paramount+.

In the highly anticipated follow-up film, Jeff Davis will return to pen a brand new adventure set in Beacon Hills which will see Scott McCall calling upon both new and trusted allies to unite against what is being teased as possibly the “most powerful and deadliest enemy” Scott’s pack has ever faced.

Based off the official teaser for the film, it’s safe to say Tyler Posey will be back in action as Scott McCall, but will he be joined by fellow original lead Dylan O’Brien?

Has Dylan O’Brien agreed to star in the Teen Wolf movie?

Unfortunately, Dylan O’Brien has not agreed to appear in the Teen Wolf movie and it’s looking unlikely that he’ll appear in the upcoming movie.

When Paramount+ announced the initial cast for the film, they confirmed the returns of several original cast members including Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Shelley Hennig, Crystal Reed, Orny Adams, Linden Ashby, JR Bourne, Seth Gilliam, Colton Haynes, Ryan Kelley, Melissa Ponzio and Dylan Sprayberry. Missing from the list is O’Brien, who does not appear to have yet signed on to return as part of the movie’s cast.

Will Dylan O’Brien be in the Teen Wolf movie?

No, Dylan O’Brien will not be in the Teen Wolf movie. As much as we’d love to report that O’Brien will be joining his costars in returning for the Teen Wolf movie, O’Brien has confirmed he will not be returning as Stiles and turned away the opportunity to return.

As O’Brien revealed in an interview with Variety, deciding not to return was a decision he struggled with but was one he felt was best. As he explained, he felt Stiles’s story was left in a really good place and felt it best to leave it there rather than revisiting the character. While he won’t return, he is championing the movie telling Variety:

"“Ultimately, I just decided it was left in a really good place for me and I still want to leave it there. I wish them well and I’m going to watch it the first night it comes out. I hope it f-cking kicks ass, but I’m not going to be in it.”"
