Where are the Oscars being held this year?

Since 2002, the Oscars have been held at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood & Highland Center in Los Angeles. Due to the pandemic last year, the awards show had to make some changes.

The 93rd Academy Awards in 2021 was held in an unusual location. All the Hollywood action took place at Union Station in downtown LA. Not really the best venue if you ask me. I know just like with everything else, the situation was difficult. But the train station. Really? These are the Academy Awards. I honestly think they could have found a better spot for the prestigious award show.

But that was last year. Let’s focus on this year’s show. The 94th Academy Awards is coming up this weekend! So now that we’re somewhat “back to normal,” where will the Oscars be held?

Where are the Oscars being held this year?

The Oscars are making a comeback to the Dolby Theatre this year. Hooray! It just didn’t have the same vibe at last year’s socially-distanced event. Though the inside was decorated beautifully and they tried to give it the Oscars feel, it wasn’t the same. It’s very exciting that the glitz and glam will take place in its original location once again. I will say that the red carpet where all our favorite celebrities get decked out was well done last year. It looked amazing!

Also making a comeback is having a host for the event. But not just one. Three! After three years of ceremonies without a host, the awards show tapped in Wanda Sykes, Regina Hall, and Amy Schumer for the job. With these three lovely ladies as our MC’s, I’m sure we’re in for a fun night!
