When is the Bel-Air season 1 finale?
It’s hard to believe that we’re already reached the end of new Peacock series, Bel-Air. The 10-episode season has been a rollercoaster, and the season finale was no different.
The series of the 90’s hit, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, is certainly darker and more dramatic. But it’s no less compelling. The series is executive produced by Will Smith and developed by Megan Cooper, whose viral trailer inspired the reimagining of the Peacock show.
The story follows talented teen Will whose life is transformed when he moves from the streets of west Philadelphia to live with his relatives in wealthy Bel-Air. Throughout the season we’ve seen many ups and downs for the characters, especially Will. And the season finale is no less a struggle for the show’s leading man.
Check out the synopsis for the finale, “Where To?”:
"Will’s father makes a surprise appearance when he shows up unexpectedly and exposes a long-buried secret after telling the truth about where he’s been."
When is the Bel-Air season 1 finale?
The Bel-Air season 1 finale dropped on Peacock just this morning. The streaming service releases new episodes every Thursday at 2:01 a.m. PT/5:01 a.m. ET. So if you haven’t caught up yet, what are you doing here? Go watch it now!
If you haven’t given the show a chance yet and it sounds interesting, then you can stream the first episode for free by creating a Peacock account. Going forward, a $5 monthly subscription will be needed.
What happened in the previous episode?
The show’s ninth episode started with the Banks family attending church. Carlton gets up to sing, but has a panic attack while performing and runs off stage. After speaking with him, Will finds out his cousin uses drugs as a coping mechanism for his diagnosed anxiety.
Lisa finds out her father was going to use Will’s arrest against Phil in an upcoming debate. After warning him, the aspiring district attorney withdraws from the race to focus on his family. He also encourages Vivian to accept the art fellowship she’s been offered.
Vy visits her son for Will’s birthday and the topic of his father comes up. He enlists Geoffrey’s assistance to find him. Against Phil’s wishes, Geoffrey decides to help Will and gives him a file about his father. This leads to the house manager getting fired.
Even though they try to keep his father Lou away from Will, the synopsis reveals that he’s going to find his son anyway. And without giving away spoilers if you haven’t watched the finale yet, the episode title gives you a hint at the cliffhanger we end on.
Will there be a Bel-Air season 2?
The good news is that we already know there’s a Bel-Air season 2. When Peacock announced the development of the series, the streaming service ordered two seasons. We don’t know when we can expect the second season, but it’s coming. So we will get answers eventually!
Bel-Air season 1 is now streaming on Peacock.
