Survivor season 42 has yet to let up. Jeff Probst and his team continue to drop compelling content each week and the players are doing their part by consistently coming to play. While this week didn’t have the high drama of last week’s potential rock draw, it did have a shocking vote out when Swati Goel saw her name come up three times.

Swati had been hovering in the middle of our power rankings all season, so this boot wasn’t too surprising. She didn’t seem to be in much trouble, but also had almost no power, making her an easy target if Ika needed one. Let’s take a look at how everything shook out.

Survivor season 42 episode 4 rankings

Out) Swati Goel (Last: 6) – Swati definitely thought she was sitting in a good spot heading into this week, and, for the most part, she really was. However, things change fast in Survivor, and trying to play literally every side is always dangerous. We don’t want to call her arrogant or anything, but thinking she could tell everyone they’re her number one was never going to work.

13) Rocksroy Bailey (Last: 14) – Honestly, we’re kind of surprised Rocksroy has made it this far. Every time Ika is in trouble, everyone starts talking about how annoying Rocksroy is, but he keeps sticking around. Is he on the way to a Phillip Sheppard-like run to the end game? It’s starting to look possible, but he’s also an easy vote out when you need it.

12) Chanelle Howell (Last: 12) – We only really saw Vati at the start of the episode when Daniel Strunk was being interrogated. Chanelle handled that pretty well, but we still think Daniel could team up with Lydia Meredith and Hai Giang to move forward. This could bite us in the butt, but we’re keeping our Vati rankings mostly the same until we see more.

11) Tori Meehan (Last: 9) – Tori has to drop just a bit because it doesn’t seem like she has much trust left in the Ika tribe. She needs a swap or merge as soon as possible. If she can do that, she could play quieter and give herself some room to breathe. As it stands, she needs Rocksroy to stay annoying and hope that’s enough to keep her around.

10) Maryanne Oketch (Last: 13) – We’re moving Maryanne up slightly because it really seems like there’s no way that Taku is going to tribal council again in its current configuration. Plus, even if they do go to tribal, who knows what’s going to happen? At this point only two people even have a vote, so we could be treated to something truly wild.

9) Mike Turner (Last: 11) – Call this a hunch, but we’re giving Mike a slight bump as well. He’s still in a weird spot with the rest of the Vatis. We’re not sure if Hai and Lydia will be working with him going forward, but that seems to be where the power sits. If he can keep the target on Daniel, he should be fine. For his sake, that has to be his sole goal moving forward.

8) Daniel Strunk (Last: 8) – People are rightfully down on Daniel after his tribal performance a few weeks ago. That said, we still think he has life in this game. Hopefully, he can prove us correct if Vati is forced to go to tribal council again.

7) Lydia Meredith (Last: 7) – Lydia is sitting in a solid spot. She has a firm ally in Hai and the target is certainly off of her at this point. If she can continue to lay low, she could make some moves post-merge.

6) Drea Wheeler (Last: 10) – We’re giving Drea a bump back up after last week. Sure, she still has to be questioning Tori’s loyalty, but she seemingly has a solid alliance with Romeo Escobar. Considering how all over the place Ika is, that’s a big thing to have in her back pocket.

5) Lindsay Dolashewich (Last: 5) – We’re to the boring part of these rankings where nothing has really changed from last week. Lindsay is still in the majority, but unlike some of her alliance mates, doesn’t have full knowledge of the tribe or Hulk-like strength.

4) Romeo Escobar (Last: 4) – Romeo continues to masterfully play on Ika tribe. It’s not a perfect game, but that calming influence is exactly what Ika needs. Romeo needs to make sure to solidify with Rocksroy or Tori before the tribes change to keep himself protected.

3) Omar Zaheer (Last: 3) – Of all the Taku tribe members, Omar might be the best placed socially. We see him playing with everyone on the tribe and being several players’ confidant. That’s great to see if you’re an Omar fan.

2) Hai Giang (Last: 2) – We’re certainly not moving Hai from one of the top spots at this point. After the display of his nerves of steel two weeks ago, it’s impossible to not see him as the player with the most power on Vati.

1) Jonathan Young (Last: 1) – Did you see this man swim? No one is even close to Jonathan’s level physically on this cast and that means he won’t be going until at least the merge. Even Hai could see things flipped on him next week, but we’re pretty confident Taku is not getting rid of Jonathan this week.
