Where can you stream the Sonic 2 movie after it leaves theaters?

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is in theaters and on its way to become the No. 1 movie at the box office. We caught an early screening of it and can confirm it’s a great family movie and so much fun. However, there are many fans who want to wait for the streaming release as they are either not comfortable going to the movie theater or simply prefer watching the movie at home. Either way, here’s what we know about the Sonic 2 movie streaming release.

When it comes to movie releases these days, it can get a little confusing knowing where and when a movie will be released. Not to mention, we also need to know how long a movie will be in theaters for before it arrives on streaming. And even after we know that, there’s the question of where will it stream? For many movies, it’s a guessing game who will get the rights. But thankfully, Sonic the Hedgehog 2‘s release is pretty simple!

Where can you stream Sonic 2 after theaters?

At the moment, Sonic 2 is only in theaters, it did not get a streaming release. But it’s only a matter of time before it does, it really depends on the popularity. Our best guess is that it will be available to stream by mid to late-summer 2022. As for where it will release, that is more than likely going to be the Paramount+ platform.

This is because Paramount announced that Sonic 3 is already in the works. Additionally, Paramount+ will be releasing a live-action series starring Knuckles (Idris Elba). That said, Sonic 2 will be calling Paramount+ it’s home later this year. Need more proof? The first Sonic the Hedgehog movie is streaming on the platform, so it’s clearly home to the Sonic-universe already, with so much more to come!
