Thor: Love and Thunder release date, cast, synopsis, trailer and more
By Sabrina Reed
Thor: Love and Thunder will hit theaters this summer after Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness lands at the top of May. Marvel fans have had an embarrassment of riches with both Disney+ and the big screen offering fans the ability to tune into the latest adventures of some of our favorite characters and new alike such as Oscar Isaac’s Moon Knight.
The fourth Thor movie, which is Taika Waititi’s second outing with the Asguardian god’s tale, already has fans buzzing. The highly anticipated release will drop viewers back into Thor’s life in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, a movie that saw the hero at his lowest due to his inability to stop Thanos. With the Titan vanquished and no determined path for his future, Thor is figuring out next steps.
What does that look like? Well, based on the trailer, we’re in for an ’80s tinged romp through space that’ll include the guardians of the galaxy. Thor struck up a friendship with crew in the last Avengers movie to the chagrin of Star Lord. It seems that friendship hasn’t waned in Thor 4 and fans can anticipate more bickering between the two as they vie for the attention of the misfit gang.
Also along for the ride is Valkyrie, who was crowned king of the Asguardians, as well as Jane Foster. The scientist’s relationship with Thor ended in a previous film, but her connection to the thunder god seems to lie beyond romance. In an exciting turn of events, she (somehow) has possession of Mjolnir and has become Lady Thor. We can’t wait to find out how that happened!
Here’s more on the film including its release date, cast, synopsis, and trailer.

To combat the threat, Thor enlists the help of King Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Korg (Taika Waititi) and ex-girlfriend Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who – to Thor’s surprise – inexplicably wields his magical hammer, Mjolnir, as the Mighty Thor.
