Barry season 3 age rating: What is Barry rated TV-MA for?
By Sandy C.
After a very long wait, Barry season 3 arrives on April 24 to HBO and HBO Max. Fans can’t wait to tune in! Whether you are wondering if the age rating has changed for the third season or are new to the series and wondering if your teenager at home can also tune in, we’ve got all the details for you!
The dark comedy premiered on HBO on March 25, 2018. Season 2 followed up just a year after on March 31, 2019. However, the wait for season 3 was extra long, and we can all blame the pandemic for it. On the bright side, this gave the writers plenty of time to write season 4, which is reportedly done. Let’s just hope we don’t have to wait years for season 4 this time. As soon as we have more details on Barry season 4, we’ll update you. For now, let’s get to the details for Barry season 3.
Barry season 3 age rating
If you have already watched season 1 and season 2, you know what to expect. After screening the first few episodes of the third season, I can say that we are in for more of the same! And if you are new to the series, you know season 3 is not the place to start. Be sure to watch season 1 and season 2 first (both of which are streaming on HBO Max) before beginning the latest season.
Barry season 3 is rated TV-MA for mild sexual content, strong violence and gore, profanity, drug use, and violent sequences.
The sexual content is mild, what parents need to look out for is the violence and gore, some of these scenes come out of nowhere and are surprising. Common Sense Media recommends this series to viewers 17-years old and up. Now, we’re no experts, you know your kids best! But with a strong rating like TV-MA, it’s definitely for a mature audience, I agree with Common Sense Media here.
