HBO Max release schedule: What time are new series episodes streaming on HBO Max?

It’s hard to believe HBO Max only launched in May 2020. Can you believe that? Compared to its other streaming competitors, the company has managed to produce some great work especially with its list of original series.

A great example of a HBO Max original is The Flight Attendant. The streaming service also has some highly anticipated upcoming shows like The Staircase. And even when it’s not an HBO Max original, the good news is that any show that airs on HBO will make it onto the platform for our streaming pleasure. I mean it’s enough we have Euphoria and Succession which are big hits!

If there’s a new show being produced by either HBO or HBO Max, I get excited and more inclined to give it a shot because of the company’s great track record. Many of you may be like me and may be wondering what the release schedule is like for series on the platform.

What time are new series episodes released on HBO Max?

With so many streaming services and television series, it can be hard to keep up with all of the release schedules. Even when you’re just dealing with one streaming platform, the release times may not always be consistent.

For the streaming platform, most of its new series episodes are released at 3:01 a.m. ET/12:01 a.m. PT. So when in doubt, that time frame is your best bet. Some shows that aren’t originals, but air on HBO first, have some different release times. For example, the HBO series Barry just premiered its third season. Season 3 could be seen live on both the network and streaming platform at 10 p.m. ET.

The process can be a bit confusing. But like I said, most news shows that are HBO Max originals should be released at 3:01 a.m. ET. For those on HBO, you need to check the series premiere time on the channel, and that will tell you when you can stream it on HBO Max.
