After the flash-forward in the Season 5 finale, NBC‘s This Is Us has been building towards Kate’s wedding to Phillip. Last week, the coworkers turned lovers finally tied the knot.
However, it wouldn’t be a Pearson wedding without drama, and there was a lot of it! In 2026, the entire family gathers for Kate’s wedding. Unfortunately, Rebecca’s health has rapidly deteriorated. It’s gotten to the point where she frequently mistakes Kevin for Jack. However, Kevin is a good son and never corrects her for the mistake.
Meanwhile, Randall, who is now a senator, starts to worry about Miguel when he notices his blood pressure medication. After a wine tasting, Miguel reveals that he’s suffering from whiplash due to stress from Rebecca’s health.
At the reception, Randall gives a beautiful speech about time and how he wants to pause certain moments because life goes by quickly. Afterward, Rebecca successfully plays and sings a song for Kate, a flashback to the same song she played for Jack in the past.

Towards the end of the wedding, Randall talks with Kevin about something that happened last night. Apparently, Kevin spent the night with either Sophie, Cassidy, or the wedding singer. Madison and Beth attempted to solve the case, but it was to no avail.
