Dead to Me season 3 has been on fans minds since season 2 concluded in May 2020. While filming did commence in 2021, it paused due to Christina Applegate’s multiple sclerosis diagnosis and COVID-19 cases that closed production for the year near the end of filming.
When shooting resumed in 2022, it was encouraging to fans who’ve been waiting nearly two years for the third and final season of the popular Netflix original series to land on the streamer. We do expect season 3 will premiere this year.

Does Dead to Me season 3 have a release date?
No, the show’s third and final season doesn’t have a release date as of yet. However, Variety reports that it’ll premiere in fall 2022.
Is Dead to Me season 3 still filming?
The summer release date prediction is based on filming having wrapped on the series. Our sister site Netflix Life reports that Liz Feldman confirmed on Instagram that season 3 is in post-production. While it’s typical of shows to take anywhere from six to eight months to complete the post-production process, Netflix Life’s reporting states it’ll likely be between three and four months for this series.
As such, we could see Dead to Me season 3 land on Netflix in the late summer between July and August. We’ll keep you posted on the official release date.

Dead to Me season 3 plot details
An official synopsis has yet to be released for the third season, but we do know that viewers will be dropped into the aftermath of the car crash Jen and Judy were involved in. Ben was drinking and driving when he hit them, and he didn’t stop. He drove off, leaving the two women in the wreckage. That, however, isn’t the only drama the season will be dealing with.
Charlie found the letter that Jen wrote to Judy which reveals what happened the night of his father’s death. He’s holding information that could change all of their lives. It’s also the key to clearing his own name when it comes to Steven’s disappearance. But that also means Jen could be the one to be arrested.
