Moon Knight season 2 updates: Has a second season been confirmed?

Marvel’s latest Disney+ series, Moon Knight, has been a huge success. It got a very positive reception from both audiences and critics, so the character definitely deserves a season 2 or perhaps even a movie. From what we’ve seen, Moon Knight is definitely the best MCU Disney+ series yet, but is Moon Knight season 2 happening? Has Moon Knight season 2 been quietly confirmed?

The final episode of the “season” will release on May 4, just before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits the theaters. This will be the sixth episode of season 1.

The Disney+ series has quite a few differences from the comic lore of the character, though it’s still very interesting. It got just six episodes, so it rushes through the major plot points of the comics and still adds more original plot lines. Comics really don’t matter in live action projects, the characters and stories can be as original as the creators want.

It’s set mostly in Egypt, and it’s good to see a new location in MCU. The Egyptian mythology is interesting in all kinds of media. MCU really needs to change the six episode format, though. It has left audiences unsatisfied multiple times.

Has Moon Knight season 2 been confirmed?

Moon Knight was marketed and talked about as a limited series, but in recent posts from Moon Knight‘s official account on Twitter, the reminder reads “season finale,” and not series finale as it used to be promoted as.

That definitely means something, right? Can fans expect an announcement for season 2 after the final episode releases on Disney+ on May 4? We’re really excited about this and we hope that fans are excited too! I’m not sure where the story will go, but it’s still great to see more of this. Moon Knight is also supposed to be in more MCU projects from now on and will be a major part of the universe.
