Is Danielle Panabaker leaving The Flash? (Will Caitlin be in The Flash Season 9?)
Danielle Panabaker is one of the remaining OG characters on The Flash, and we’d love to see her in Season 9. Is that going to happen after recent events?
Caution: There are spoilers from the May 4 episode of The Flash in this post.
We knew a big death was coming, and The Flash Season 8 did not disappoint. Well, okay, the death was disappointing and devastating, but the writing and shock were on-point.
That death? It was only Killer Frost.
Caitlin Snow’s doppelganger leveled up as “Hellfrost” to zap Deathstorm of all his powers, but it had some serious consequences. The team got her back to the lab, but there was nothing anyone could do. We said goodbye to the character, and she’s sure to be missed.
What does this mean about Danielle Panabaker, who played the character? Will she be in The Flash Season 9, which we know is happening?
Danielle Panabaker hopes to be back for The Flash Season 9
Right now, there is only one confirmed cast exit for The Flash Season 9. That’s Jesse L. Martin, who is going on to star in an NBC pilot that may be picked up to series. Panabaker told TVLine that she hopes to be back for the ninth season, which is certainly good news.
While we’ve said goodbye to Killer Frost, we still have Caitlin Snow around. There is a lot to come for Caitlin, who has already lost a lot in her life. Now she’s lost her doppelganger, a character who was originally against her but ended up joining Team Flash. There will be denial, anger, and all the other phases of grief, and we’ll get to see them all.
However, Panabaker also admitted that emotionally she was getting ready for the eighth season of the series to be the last.
