The La Brea season 1 finale left audiences on the edge of their seat with an intense cliffhanger. One can’t imagine not getting a second season of the series to get some much needed answers. But after tonight’s bloodbath of cancellations, will that even happen? Was La Brea among the many shows NBC, and other major networks, cancelled? Here’s the latest!

Fans are eager to see what happens next in the thrilling drama. While La Brea season 1 does answer many questions, it also presented new mysteries. We have really only scratched the surface of what’s happening to the survivors.

On May 12, 2022, major networks, including ABC and the CW, announced renewals and cancellations. Needless to say, it’s been a tough day for network TV fans. Where does La Brea stand? Is La Brea season 2 happening at NBC?

Was La Brea cancelled?

No! The NBC drama was not among the shows cancelled by the NBC network. Fans feared for their new favorite series, but it was actually already renewed. NBC ordered La Brea season 2 on November 2021, Deadline reports. Still, after so many cancellation announcements, fans were worried.

NBC shows that were cancelled by the network, are: The Endgame, Kenan, Mr. Mayor, and
Ordinary Joe. I’m disappointed about most of these. I enjoyed The Endgame and think it deserved a second chance. The story didn’t end properly. I also loved Ordinary Joe, it’s such a unique series! Criminally underrated. Finally, Kenan was my go-to feel-good sitcom. I’ll miss it! The only cancellation from NBC that I wasn’t too shocked by, is Mr. Mayor. The show wasn’t very popular and failed to bring in numbers for the network week after week.
