How many episodes will Stranger Things season 4 part 2 be?

Stranger Things season 4 premieres Friday, May 27 on Netflix. The long-awaited season is one of the most–if not the most–anticipated release for the streamer this year. That, however, shouldn’t come as a surprise considering fans have been waiting nearly three years for the next installment of this hit Netflix original.

In fact, by the time Stranger Things season 4 part 2 makes its land on the platform, we’ll be knocking at the door of the three year wait since it’ll premiere on Friday, July 1–just shy of the anniversary of season 3’s premiere on July 4, 2019.

When part 2 of season 4 arrives, we’ll be deeply immersed in all that came before in part 1. The gap between the first part’s debut and the second part’s will allow just enough time for the fandom to drive ourselves into a tizzy trying to guess what will happen next.

But, how many episodes will we have to binge in Stranger Things season 4 part 2 before we’re left to wait for the show’s fifth and final season? Here’s what we know!

How many episodes are in Stranger Things season 4 part 2?

There will be a total of nine episodes in season 4. Of those nine, seven will be released in part 1. That only leaves two episodes in part 2, but don’t fret. It was announced that fans should be prepared for a super-sized season as season 4’s episodes are clocking in at over an hour in length.

Also, the season 4 finale is a whopping two hours and some change. So, prepare yourself for what amounts to a movie with this episode. We’re not sure what could warrant such a length for what’s supposed to be an episode of television, but we know it has to be wild.
